CUMC offers many opportunities for community service including: Aluminum
Can Recyclng: Cans recycled for the church's Emergency Fund. Crop Walk : Individuals, with pledges from non-walkers, spend a Sunday afternoon in October walking to raise money for hunger. Gathering Place: On the first Saturday of the month CUMC makes soup and takes it to the Gathering Place. Habitat for Humanity: Volunteers and financial help are provided. Heifer Project : CUMC supports HPI which provides animals and education to people in poverty stircken areas. Meals on Wheels: Meals are delivered through the program at Tabitha. Drivers are always needed. Warming Hut : Individuals bring cold weather clothing for the City Mission each fall. Pantry: We support the Eastridge Presbyterian Neighborhood Pantry through money, food, and volunteers. Refugee Sponsorship : CUMC has sponsored several families in the past. Tape Ministry : Sunday morning worship services are taped and delivered to homebound members and friends. Thanks-4-Giving 1 2 3: A children's stewardship program to provide toys, clothing, and food to less fortunate individuals at Christmas time. In
